Embodying the spirit of the great poet Tao Yuanming, who yearned for a life of simplicity in the countryside, this homestay harmonizes with nature to create a holistic landscape. The natural cycle fosters an ecological chain within the expansive area of over ten thousand square meters, where guests can engage in deep conversations with the old trees, crabs, streams, and dragonflies. Here, one can also bathe in the phytoncides from cypress and Taiwan chinaberry wood, forgetting all worldly worries.
Introduction
Nestled at the foot of Alishan, this homestay offers travelers a second home, themed around Taiwan’s coniferous trees and cypress wood. As soon as you enter the lobby, the aroma of wood envelops you. The dedicated gardener regularly processes wood each week, providing essential oils and phytoncides. By utilizing the unique properties of species such as Chamaecyparis obtusa, red cypress, Taiwan chinaberry, and fragrant cedar, the design of the guest rooms integrates these natural materials into the lodging environment.
Guests can enjoy a forest foot bath, immersed in nature and surrounded by abundant phytoncides, allowing them to drift into peaceful slumber. The gentle morning light and the sounds of insects and birds will naturally awaken you.
“You don’t need to own it to enjoy it.” This space shares all the values of Taiwan’s native woods with travelers.
