In collaboration with the Kaohsiung Cultural Bureau, it has been revitalized as a nostalgic community revitalization project. Originally built as Japanese military officers's dormitory during the Japanese occupation period, it later served as the residence for generals during the Nationalist government. It has been upgraded to a cultural park for veterans, with ongoing planning and restoration efforts by the Cultural Bureau to maintain the nostalgic atmosphere of the veterans' village era.
