Introduction NO79 Backpackers is situated within Huangpu New Village, the first veterans' village in Taiwan. Originally built as Japanese military officers' dormitory during the Japanese occupation period, it later served as the residence for generals during the Nationalist government, showcasing a strong historical significance and Japanese architectural style. It has been upgraded to a cultural park for veterans, with ongoing planning and restoration efforts by the Cultural Bureau to maintain the nostalgic atmosphere of the veterans' village era.
