Introduction Perhaps most city dwellers share a dream—to retire in a picturesque place, living leisurely like in a poem about picking chrysanthemums beneath the eastern fence while gazing at the southern mountains. Over twenty years ago, I began searching for this dream, and after years of effort, I discovered this spot facing the sea and overlooking Green Island. I bought the land and continued to work hard in Taipei for several more years, but when illness struck, I realized I might not see the sunrise of 2012. Ultimately, I let go of the hustle and bustle of Taipei and moved to Dulan, Taitung, to build my dream house. After staying at numerous homestays and absorbing the good while discarding the bad, I created Coastline Azure.
